Good refrigerant filtering on the low-pressure side of the system is an absolute guarantee to protect the compressor. Mechanical filters, which are normally installed on the intake line, ensure that the system is cleaned and eliminate all impurities due to production and assembly of the refrigeration system.
There are two types of mechanical filters, cartridge and mesh.

The operation of cartridge filters is ensured by microfilter cartridges that remove all impurities.
Differently, mesh filters, hermetic or inspectionable, have a screen basket, with large filter surface, made of austenitic stainless steel AISI 304.
